If you what to leave a message of hope to the rescuers. Go to the guestbook.
Our hopes, thoughts, and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. We can only imagine the horror you are experiencing but you are utmost in our thoughts. I am sending a picture of the tribute and memorial erected by our volunteer fire department in the New York firefighters honor. It started with the truck, flag, teddy bear, and balloon. People have added the flowers, candles, more balloons and bears. God Bless you one and all.

Dear firefighters,
I think of your bravery, your strength, your courage, and your determination... and I feel so blessed that there are wonderful men and women like you, risking your lives for the safety of others. I don't know you don't know me, but we are all God's children. We are all brothers and sisters and I just want you to know that I'm thinking of all of you, thankful and grateful that you are on this earth.
A special prayer.....
Lord, make me an instrument of our peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console.
To be understood, as to understand
To be loved, as to love
for
It is in giving that we receive
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
God bless each and everyone of you,
from

Now, and when this is over -- and the hell you're working in is not forever -- TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES, physically and emotionally. May it help to know that your brothers and sisters across America love you and are with you in spirit, prouder than ever of our badges, because of you.

Oh God, our Sustainer, be with these men and women as they work daily to search, rescue, recover and clean up after the tragic events at the WTC. Bless them as they try to make some sense of the senseless. Let your healing spirit flow among them like a fresh breeze, healing minds as well as bodies. May your angels reach out to each one and touch them with comfort. Let them know that you understand their anger, frustration and tears. Let them know that you and we will not forget them in the future as this phase winds down. Bless them now. Amen

You are in all of our thoughts and prayers. Even though we are so many miles apart we are united with you in the struggles you face. While people in Omaha and around the country are sending money, food, medical supplies and people to help, I hope that you can be strengthened, comforted and encouraged today by knowing that we are with you. Be proud of your courage and sacrifices. You are heroes ! ! ! !

Dear Fire Fighters,
I need and want you to know I am praying daily for you. I still have faith you will find more people alive. I pray for your strength as you find those who are not alive. I pray for your courage, that you can keep going. I admire you and pray for you every day.

Down here in Florida, and everywhere I hear, there isn't an American who doesn't think the world of you guys. Thanks for showing us all your great examples of heroism. We all mourn the fall of your brothers. Stay safe amid the dangers

I was asked to send an e-mail by a member of my professional records management list serv. Please know that those of us removed from the New York area support all your efforts and are praying for you. Yesterday (Sunday) every local fire company in our eastern suburbs of Cleveland were at major intersections collecting money for the relief effort. I did not see one car refuse to give a donation. I donated to three different companies on my way to Mass. May God protect you as you continue to work.

Our prayers are with you.
A terrible deed was done and you are dealing with it twice. First, with the shock and horror that all of the nation experienced and then, with the terrible things you are seeing during the search and rescue.
Thank God for people like you who are able to do it. Our prayers are with you.

As I watch the scenes on TV I continue to be amazed at the courage and will of all of you who have undertaken this enormous task of rescuing NY (and America) from the tragic events of Sept. 11th. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of those who have lost loved ones. May God Bless You and God Bless America!.

What can we say. We just want you to know we are all thinking about you and the tragic loss of rescue workers in New York. It is just as hard for us to understand how someone trying to save a life loses his or hers all in the name of a misguided belief. You and your fellow workers are not alone. We are all their in spirit trying to help.

Above all the people we have seen through the tragedy, smoke and tears you guys stand out a mile. Nothin' prepares for something so close to your hearts as the mates you work with every day. They are like family.
I have discovered something that I never would have expected about our modern day communications technology. Contrary to popular expectation they do not separate and depersonalise us (if we don't want them to) they can actually bring us very close together. The images, the voices and the spontaneity. You guys are giants among us. Stand proud and walk tall as you go into the front line of battle. Don't forget your feelings. Share them with those whom you love. Remember those you have lost and be happy for those you have saved.

I pray every day that God will guide every firefighter and police officer and help comfort them as they continue a brave and disheartening duty as they continue to search for victims and survivors. Please know that you are thought about every day from millions of people. I too feel the pain as do many Americans, I am sure it is different with us not being there, but please know that I do understand how much the firefighters and police officers have put themselves on the line to help others. Keep up the good work and I will continue to pray every day.

The message is for all the Firefighters, Police, construction workers & volunteers in NYC, & all of the United States of America. You guys and gals are absolutely incredible. Even though you actually put your lives on the line throughout your careers and are in uncomfortable positions often, I am sure this last week has been extremely difficult for you all. I would like to send my heartfelt respect to you all for your tremendous strength during this horrific ordeal. You are all immensely loved.
Respectfully submitted,

Words of course cannot do justice to express the revulsion that the world feels over what those barbaric terrorists have done to the people and to the buildings and other property of your beautiful city. My thoughts and best wishes are with you in this difficult time as you perform what must surely be a most horrendous and difficult task of advancing the rescue, recovery and clean up. I encourage you all to keep strong, and to feel confident that the world is with you at this difficult time.

Hi,
My name is Jonathan and am from South Africa. Just a short note of reassurance. There are a lot of people internationally thinking of you whilst performing your duties to save and repair that what has been perpetrated by some sick minds. Kindly convey my reassurances to those about you that many people are thinking of you and your colleagues and that our prayers are with you. May God's strength be with you all during these testing times.

Possibly the most poignant moment for me was when I heard a brief radio interview with a man who had just walked down 64 flights of stairs in one of the towers and mentioned in passing that firemen were pushing their way up the stairs. The interview was recorded before the first tower collapsed, but played after. I'll never forget that. Firefighters are something special.

G'day from Australia,
We have a tradition here when a national sporting team is representing Australia overseas. We send them 'Herofaxes'. So this is a herofax to you all. We are as a nation good at understatement, so if you were Aussies we'd give you the ultimate accolade, and call you "Good blokes'. Praise doesn't come any higher for what you are doing, or the way you are doing it.
Regards
Glenn from Sydney, Australia

You guy's are doing a job nobody should have to do. I do not know really what to say other then. THANK YOU! Please be careful and are prayers are with you.
